The study of
nonprofit and volunteerism is reaching into academic institutions in
Texas. If you are interested in certificate, internships, undergraduate,
or graduate programs, check the websites of these Texas educational
institutions for more information about their programs. Nine of the Academic
Providers are members of the Network and are in bold below.

Seven-part Nonprofit
Management Certificate Program.
- Seven classes include Program Planning, Financial Management, Fund
Development and Branding, Marketing, and Public Relations
- Classes may be taken individually or as a series to earn certification.
- Registration is conducted through the Center for Nonprofit Management at

SMU
- In partnership with the
Center for Nonprofit Management, they will offer a Nonprofit
Leadership Certificate Program.
- Registration is conducted through the Center for Nonprofit Management at

- Participants must have at least five years work experience and two years
as an Executive Director.
- The sessions include: The Mission of Leadership & The Nonprofit
Difference, The Courage to Lead & Self-Styling Leadership, Leading
Values Inside and Outside the Organization, Leading & Developing People
& Teams, Leading Change: Part 1 & The Commitment to Lead, and Leading
Change, Part 2 & Living Leadership.
